Feeling right at home.
After working for 43+ years (38 years 7 months with my last company), I finally got that promotion I waited my entire career for……retirement. I have been exploring this new career for the past 3+ years and while it is not always exciting, the chance to do what I want for myself and my family instead of what my company wanted me to do has been rewarding. While I still miss the social aspect of working with a team of great people, I have managed to keep in touch with many from my former team and I have many friends and family members who now fulfill this part of my life. Now that my Patty has retired, we are able to spend more time in pursuits and with people who are near and dear to us. I enjoy photography, gardening, working with my hands, walking, cycling, skiing, travelling, reading and creating special photo and video productions obtained in my first pastime. I may not become wealthy in any of these pursuits, but I already feel I am rich in life experiences far beyond any expectation. View more posts
It’s always good to have a second home, especially when it’s in a beautiful place like Jasper. I still can’t get over how stunning those fall colours are!

Even if you only get the 2nd home for one week. Fall colours in this part of the world are not usually so stunning. Maybe Nature was trying to make up for 2020. Thanks so much for reading. Stay well. Allan

While I am super excited about the fast approaching winter season and the slight possibility of getting to see the snow in Ireland, I am also a little bit sad to say goodbye to autumn. It somehow felt like autumn came and went too quickly this year. I once read that when you’re having fun, and we really did this fall, time definitely feels like it passes by a lot quicker. Either way, loving your photos from Jasper, Allan. Thanks for sharing and have a good day. Aiva

Winter approached here all too quickly here and we do miss fall. Hope you get your snow. Despite the problems of the world, this year has seemed to fly by. Glad you like my Jasper posts, still a few to go. Will have to ask my readers what they want to see next, when these run out, I have plenty of trips from the past…New Zealand, Japan, Europe. Thanks for reading Aiva. Allan

Seen from the cold and colorless beginning of winter, these pictures with their beautiful autumn colours give a better understanding of what we like in this transitory season filled with summer nolstagy. Thanks for keeping the memory alive.
